I absolutely love this place. I grew up right around the corner. I remember when it was called the egg castle. I've eaten here alot. As I've very fond memories of this building. However, lately, I've been overcome with absolute joy every time I eat there. Thier menu is not only competitively priced. It's absolutely amazing. The cook on the meat is always spot on. And the veggies are to die for. Parking is limited when they get busy, so come early.

This is my favorite spot in Royal Oak any time of day. The eggs are always spot on, the bacon is perfectly crispy, and the smash burgers are delicious. My picky toddler even loves their pancakes and mac and cheese. Whether I’m having a brunch date with my three-year-old or a night out with my husband, the service is always top notch and the servers are kind and engaging. Try it! You won’t be disappointed!

I’ve had this place on my radar for quite a while, so we stopped in on a sunny Saturday morning before heading to the Royal Oak Farmers Market, which is just a short away. They have a bunch of cute outdoor seating, so we asked to sit out there. Rachel was our server and she was great - very friendly and attentive! I ordered the Avocado Scramble, but I made a couple of modifications. Unfortunately they forgot to address them, but Rachel took care of that right away and the dish was very good. My wife had the Eggs Benedict, her favorite breakfast dish. She said it was very good and she particularly liked the potatoes that came with it. One final note (and this was not reflected in my rating): the seating in the outdoor section is pretty tight and a couple with a large dog was seated next to us. I’m not a big fan of people bringing dogs to restaurants, but if they are well behaved, I can deal with it. Unfortunately, at one point this dog got excited by a dog coming by on the sidewalk and jumped up and started barking at the others dog, just inches away from me. It was quite startling and its owner was not particularly apologetic. With such a confined space, I think this establishment may want to reconsider whether it allows dogs in their outdoor seating area.

Food was excellent and delicious the service was great and its so different than the place before. We will definitely be back.

After a heartfelt goodbye, we’re thrilled to announce our return with immense joy and enthusiasm! The last day at Col’s was tough, but we knew it wasn’t a farewell. We’ve taken over the former Inn Season Cafe location and are excited to share our big plans with you.

Introducing the Fourth Street Restaurant! We’re making a strong comeback, preserving the beloved past with our morning brunch and transforming into an evening bistro with a slightly tweaked menu to cater to everyone’s taste palate. And for those not feeling hungry, worry not – we’ve got a fantastic bar for you to hang out!

We’ve kept this under wraps as the journey from designs to plans to menu naming has been a meticulous process. But here we are, making significant progress. Mark your calendars because we’re aiming to welcome our first clients by March 2025. Stay tuned for soft open testing dates where you can be among the first to experience the magic!

This will be a family-owned venture, and we promise to treat our extended family with the same love and attention you’ve always received. Take a sneak peek at the almost final design, complete with some digital rendering. For those familiar with the previous location, we’re bringing back the original design with a curved entrance and restoring some of the original interior to capture its timeless beauty.

Thank you for being a part of our journey. We can’t wait to create new memories with you at Fourth Street Restaurant!
